A fundraiser for the family of Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old EMT who was shot and killed by police in her home, has surpassed $5.4 million in just five days.
Taylor was home on March 13 when three police officers executed a no-knock warrant to enter her apartment at around 1 a.m. Police shot Taylor eight times, killing her. The officers are on administrative leave but have not been charged with a crime.
Now, her family and Black Lives Matter protesters are fighting for justice for Taylor.
