Curly Savv Talks "50 Shots" With G Herbo, Drill Music, New Project + More

Dropping his “Glocky SZN” project in 2020 featuring the likes of Fivio Foreign and Rah Swish, Brooklyn rapper Curly Savv is already looking to take over 2021 with his latest release “50 Shots” with G Herbo and “Lyfters” featuring Fetty Lucciano. Sitting down with On The Radar today Curly spoke about the project, his favorite memory of Pop Smoke, reflecting on the success he has achieved since first hitting the scene 6 years ago + more!

With his latest project, Curly wanted to add his own spin to the drill sound that has quickly taken over the city. With another project well on the way, he expressed he’s just having fun with all of his music.

“I just wanted to diversify myself from everyone, we all doing drill beats and what not so I wanted to add my own unique flow to it, so I was just having fun with it.”

With Chicago and NY drill being so closely linked it's no surprise that Curly and G Herbo was a perfect match for their new single. As for how the record came about Curly explained that he and Herbo have mutual friends and the record itself wasn’t planned but everything just worked the way it was supposed to.

“Me and Herb got mutual friends, it was one of those days I was just chillen and my manager called me and told me I was going to go to the studio that night and do a song with Herbo, nothing was planned everything just happened”

Before signing off Curly shared his favorite memory of the late Pop Smoke who he immortalized on his last projects album cover as well, expressing working with him in the studio is still his fondest memory of the late rapper.

“Definitely being in the studio, that was my first time meeting him, just working, vibing out, I was playing him records and s—t he hopped on”
