53-year-old artist Dan O’Conor has jumped into Lake Michigan every single day for an entire year, earning himself the nickname, “The Great Lake Jumper.” In the early days of the pandemic, he started jumping near his home in Chicago, and before he knew it, he’d been going for 50 days.
Not even the brutal Chicago winter could stop Dan, who shoveled snow to jump. He has amassed fans, and raised money for Chicago music venues that shuttered in the pandemic.
